Bio
For more than 15 years, I have built my career as an international educator, advancing higher education internationalization through leadership, partnership development, student mobility, and global engagement initiatives. My experience spans international student services, education abroad, institutional partnerships, capacity building, and strategic leadership across Canada and the Asia-Pacific. Guided by both professional practice and academic scholarship, I am passionate about developing people, institutions, and systems. I am a collaborative and results-oriented leader who enjoys bringing people together around shared priorities, building trusted relationships, navigating complexity, and creating opportunities that advance international education and global cooperation.
Education
My educational background is interdisciplinary in nature. My undergraduate degree was marked with a double major and an academic exchange opportunity. My graduate degree was one of the first interdisplinary Master's degree offered in English in Sweden, with an internship and international field school embedded. My doctoral degree is based in educational theory and focused on leadership in post-secondary contexts, a practitioner based program. I am confident and excited by interdisciplinary opportunities.
Employment
I have professional experience working in government and several types of post-secondary institutions in BC higher education. I have worked for the BC crown corporation for international education, a research university, a teaching university, and a community college. This gives me a unique perspective on approaches to teaching and learning in the BC higher education context.
